RISHI RAJA YOGA (GITANANDA YOGA)

In 2009 I traveled to Southern India where I lived for almost two years at the International Center for Yoga Education and Research at Ananda Ashram (www.icyer.com).

I received a Two Year Residential Senior Yoga Teacher degree with 7,000 hours of training in Hatha Yoga, Pranayama, Tantra, Yantra,  Carnatic Music, Bharatanatyam Dance and Sanskrit.

While at the Ashram, part of my seva (service to the tradition) was to act as an editor for the Ashram publications.

I teach yoga theory and practice privately, in groups, during retreats, in academia, and in my contemplative tours in the U.S. Southwest and Tuscany, Italy.

Between 2010 and 2012 I received the Carolyn Fae Grant Endowment at Vassar College, NY, to bring contemplative practices into academia. I taught yoga and sound healing to the college students, faculty and staff.
